A new show on BBC One, All The Small Things, release by BiA, about singing. How very quaint.

Episode 1
Aired: Tuesday March 31st, 2009
After meeting a new soprano with a great voice called Lalya, Michael wants to raise the standards for the choir. Not everyone is happy though and they turn to Esther for support. Esther decides to lead them against Michael’s new choir in a local competition.

   There was an ITV (I think) drama called Life Begins, which took the same subject and executed it so so much better than this dreadful twee twaddle. Sarah Lancashire has never surpassed Raquel anyway and now seems to make it her business to be as pudding-like and mumsy as possible while passing it off as ’sanguine’. Neil Pearson has totally destroyed his dry-humoured edgy image by participating. Oh Neil, I used to fancy you something rotten. Not any more. As for the technically attractive but actually rather scary (mad eyes and frightening teeth) Sarah Alexander – well, things must be desperate if she read this script and still agreed to be in it. Career killer. It was so dreadful I felt a little angry. At least mistresses was compelling even if the four main characters were loathesome. The BBC should feel embarrassed. Utter crap.

   I enjoyed filming ‘All the Small things’, it was great meeting the cast. I was part of an extra choir used in episode 1 and 6 Me and my friend Rosa took part in it and we sang The Rhythm Of Life and Sin Njay Njay Njay.
