SceneSource – Powered by Disgruntled Rlslog’ers!
Hey guys. It seems we have been flooded with visitors from rlslog, whom have since found SceneSource. It may appear that rlslog is in trouble, as Over, Christian, Nyr, sc0rff, Nikola, Mr.X and Reeged have left the ranks of rlslog staff. Back in March Shiny and Lee left rlslog, and founded SceneSource due to the same reasons as these guys. They have all been invited to join us, if they do however is up to them. We will have to wait and see.
This is an official message welcoming everyone and anyone to SceneSource, we are glad to have you and we hope you enjoy yourselves. This is the site we wished rlslog could of been. Ad free, profit free.
Be sure to Join our IRC, and check out our PreDatabase, and remember, our TV Section is separate to avoid clutter (may change in future, who knows).
BTW, we are experiencing some technical difficulties with suddenly handling this large load of visitors. Stay tuned! And try to not refresh the page constantly 
UPDATE: I (Lee) have implemented lock-down on the server, meaning if you leave a comment it won’t appear straight away, but it will wait for the cache to update before it is shown. This is a necessary measure to try and keep the site up until we get a new server. I hope you can perservere with this, and rest assured it will be fixed as soon as possible.
UPDATE 2: Please done lump us in with other so called scene sites that have welcomed rlslog staff to their sites… scnsrc.net was founded from former rlslog editors, we left for the same reason they now have. We personally know these guys, talk with them daily. We have known them since day one, since they joined rlslog. In fact i (shiny) personally recruited a few to of these guy rlslog in the beginning. When we say have invited them, that means we have personally invited them, not just put out a call on the website. We are the real deal. Some may join us, some want to call it quits. We are not just another scene news site we are what rlslog could of been, what is should of been.

This site is a bad clone of rlslog but there is potential. I do like that it has no ads, no popup, and no transitioning ad. If this site can restrained from using torrents then great but if they must try to get it from Mininova.org or EZTV.it for tv shows and give an option to use Swarmplayer to stream video feeds in .tstream. Also more links to various file storage or one click site would be great besides the infamous Rapidshare links. But if this is just another clone with no substance then I would look elsewhere. loving this site. lots of people are saying scenereleases.info is a good alternative for rlslog.net but i don’t like it because it doesnt give any info on the releases. it just posts plot summaries etc. which are useless imo.
this site is great though because ye put in a personal touch and describe the quality of the releases etc. keep up the good work. this is now my new homepage.
rlslog was my home for a while. when martin got all excited people were visiting the site and got a boner for ads and malware i had to bail. especially the polls obviously intended for better ad marketing purposes and NEVER resulted in better release posting. retarded games and music for 12 yr old girls?! how many people claimed to be 12 yr old females? fucking nonsense. really though the malware upset me the most. or was it the lame releases that never reflected the poll results? i really cant decide. either way, i’m glad to see rlslog is falling apart. Sadly that piece of shite torrentscoop site you link for “torrents” is, well, utter SHITE wanting user to have JavaScript “on” before working. Due to certain reasons (out of my control) I have JavaScript blocked, and have to search for releases then from elsewhere… So that sux.
Besides that, your site is better than rlslog in most of the things (and I’ve been using this since you made it). Especially you are faster to list new stuff, and this I like… Now if only you would sort out those torrent search links to point something proper instead…
LoL at the title! I wasn’t really an active “Commentator” on RLSLOG but it was the only half decent Scene Release site I stumbled upon (didn’t really bother to look further)! At first it seemed like a great site, they would keep us all informed of the latest happenings on the scene, but I, like other, had noticed the site was falling off, scene info took an age to be posted, interesting things were becoming far and few between, and the thing that bugged the crap out of me was that if there was like a 2, 3 or 4 part series, they’d only inform you of like the 2nd ep., and if you’re someone that downloads things for future viewing then it really sucks that your missing an ep. because you forgot to download it and the people you were relying on to inform you were having a tiff!
After reading the goodbye post I was kinda annoyed about having to find another site for scene releases, but I’m so glad I’ve come across this site! It has the same simple layout (which is great), no ads, and best of all… It seems that staff here actually have a sense of humour! Good on you guys!

Welcome everyone, and we are glad to have you. For way too long martin was able to get rich off your love for this, and the people who risk their freedoms on a daily basis to release the warez love for this. Hopefully this will be the final nail in the coffin for everything he stands for and has allowed and brought upon himself and his site up to this point. For those who feel this is a clone of that beat down site, thats not the case, this site was built from scratch by the same two people that pretty much set the pace for that other site to become what it was in its prime. Great to see there are places other than RLSLog, I’ve taken a look at some of the category’s and another Scene Release site has allot more releases than yours. Would we great if you would post more releases like EwDp’s. I won’t mention the other site, you could just google Scene Releases.
scnscrc has owned rlslog since day 1, just needed the community to keep it together, i hope staff are ready to handle the influx of users and they should be ready to lay the ban hammer on idiot spammers in the comments. ads are also not a horrible thing, as long as revenue is strictly for the good of the site and not for personal profit, hell find away to get some to the release groups if you have extra for whatever reason, if it werent for them, you wouldnt have a reason to have the site

I vote, bring the TV stuff back to the frontpage! You guys used to do a roundup of the nights shows with separate links to a page for each show. That system works well! Don’t relegate TV to the back of the bus. Say no to anti-TVism!

haha, starting to look like admins will need to find a way to put multiple themes up for the website, some prefer the dark theme, but im seeing alot who prefer a lighter theme, personally i’d rather have the dark, actually like darker if it were possible, but this is fine too.

I’ve been reading sc for a while now, and the only thing letting it down was the lack of comments (and too few staff). I’d imagine both will be rectified now.
I would ask that the staff here took a little more interest in the comments system though – rlslog had a “no-care” attitude, as long as it was making money he didn’t care. The racism and misogyny over there was completely over the top and totally unneeded.
Whilst not as important there was far too much off-topic talk too. I don’t mean people having a discussion that strayed away from the release being commented on but people who would make a comment just to say: “some turd movie just released etc etc”. Nobody cares – if you want to post new releases become an editor, or better still:
Have a “user-Submitted release” section. Separate to the main releases (a link on the mainpage would be sufficient) where users could post and browse releases before staff put them on the site.

Editorial on the RSL Seven
This seems to be no less than a coup. I don’t care how bad the situation I would never just leave without notice even a volunteer position. The seven of you appear to be bent on revenge. If you cared about the site and the people as you say you did, you might carry on until a replacement was found. However, your decisions not to wait, goes to your lack of character and commitment which was very obvious in your posts the past month or so. Your post have been sloppy, late and no were near the standard that was once set.
Many other sites have more pop ups and more ads than releaselog. Advertising is part of free enterprise and so is profit. An owner has every right to make a profit from his endeavor and you people knew going in that you would not be paid. Instead you received an apprenticeship to hone your editor skills to the masses. Greed again, it seems, may win out over character and in general doing the right thing.

I didnt have a fig of a knowledge about this site. Today morning as I read the news of the editors, I headed for the RLSLOG forums. There I saw many names for alternative sites flung around. I checked few of the sites, but I was pretty unimpressed as none followed the organized structure of RLSLOG (which was one of the best features oif rlslog). Then I read about this site. YAHOOO!!!
This site is awesome. Organized & run by former rlsloger’s. Follows almost the same structure. COOL.

I have been going here for a few months now. I would come here because the torrent links on rlslog never actually worked. I found working links here so i started coming here instead, but lately i have found the torrent links are search results and this bothers me.
I check RLSOG every day at least once for some excellent reading and quality posts. It’s unfortunate to read that yet another organization has come to the woes of financal success.
All too often companies grow rapidly and all too often they drop the people who make it work.
One of the reasons I work for myself now.
I’m now a Scene Source reader with RLSLOG being dropped until they get their act straight… I also hate monopolies
Great to see this site getting much-deserved recognition. Been visiting here for several months, like the overall feel, very friendly and quiet compared to rlslog (hope that won’t change now).
If I can make one request to the new influx to the community: let’s try to avoid the spamming and comment chaos from that other site. Repeatedly asking for links, posting spoilers, flaming, unrelated links and nonsense posts made rlslog a really unfriendly environment. Most people just want to know the type and quality of the release, any audio/video glitches etc, and where to get it from. Be kind and patient with other commenters and remember, we’re all here to share good (and not-so-good) movies, music, games, apps and other fun stuff.
It’s a great community.

@Miamilobo, I disagree with you about their reasons for leaving. Even if the reasons were abrupt in public, they said that they all had disagreements with what Martin was doing, so they most likely told him they’d quit if he didn’t stop. You are right about the two sides, though, we haven’t heard anything from Martin about all of this, but he probably doesn’t care, seeing as how he’s the administrator and it seems he has enough staff on it now. This site seems to get more releases, and faster than RLSLOG… Remember, these guys know what they’re doing!
As for RLSLOG, it’s still going on, and still the same as before, just without the staff and now we know why so many popups are going on. I saw this site by chance while looking through comments in RLSLOG, and I’ve already added this to my favorites and I’m gonna stop visiting the other site. This site’s more awesome looking anyway!
Guys, just want to say i changed from rlslog to this site, after i found out of the story behind rlslog.
I use adblock, so i dont see the popups/ads at all, but i find it disgusting that the admin of rlslog doesn’t want to listen to their staff/members.

Yep…another person migrating after the big blow up at RLS. Maybe they get their crap straight, maybe they don’t. I don’t care because I got a list of some alternative sites out of that little fiasco, and must say this was the top choice. I only wish I had known sooner because it was obvious that things were going south at RLS, and something was going to happen sooner or later. Oh well…I’m have better places now because of that…
i have been a loyal member of this site since its start but have also visited the other scene sites on a regular basis. Rlslog was a great site but editors like reeged really put me off. He always seemed to come off as an ignorant little 12 year old with his constant bickering with the members. I actually support martin in this case. The site is a blog, and a blog consist of an owner/operator and a variety of editors. Reeged was stripped of his ability to ban people because he consistently abused this power, then seemed to throw a hissy fit after realizing that this punishment would be permanent. I am a huge fan of scnsrc.net but STRONGLY advise the admins to not allow little children like reeged to be given any authoritative powers whatsoever. If the admins here decide to ignore this recommendation I see this site going down the same way as rlslog. Keep this site great!

RLSLOG are the real deal, this site SUX
RLSLOG actually kinda sux compared to this place.. I used to use rlslog too..
first it was more and more ads to look at
then it was the hi volume ‘CONGRATULATIONS! youve been selected to receive a free……’
NOW… i go to rlslog and it automatically completely redirects my browser to another website of one of their advertisers
i know, i know….. use firefox and addons… yeah yeah…. i like opera… and i dont think i should have to arm myself with anything to look at sites LIKE THESE
so TO HELL WITH RLSLOG!!! and their advertisers and HELLO SCNSRC!!!

i had rlslog….. guess what the screenshot was for rlslog half the time when it refreshed — an ADVERTISERS WEBPAGE!!!!
and since they banned me there…

Hats off to the guys at RSLOG! In the past 10 months i have fixed 3 desktop machines invaded by a vundo variant. All users admitted to visiting RSLOG when the fun started, the “your computer is infected” popups and taskmngr shutdown etc.
I charged £20 to each of them, covers a good bottle of malt if I throw another £5 in.
One of them was using firefox, i had installed no scripts addon but he disabled it because he got fed up with approving sites for script use.
RSLOG is a fucking den of malware and scripts.
I did a google search for “rlslog malware” and this was the first site. It appears to be exactly what I was looking for. I was just recently visitng rlslog on another computer that doesn’t have noscript and ad block plus and was infected twice. ffs. Looks like this will be my new bookmark
