From group COALiTiON comes a very nice 2cd rip of the top movie “Tropa de Elite” (also known as “The Elite Squad”). The movie itself is very good with a score of 8.1/10 on IMDdb and 14 wins & 6 nominations. Quality is exactly what u would expect from a 2cd release. Only downside that i can see to the movie is that it appears to be dubbed.

Synopsis: Set in 1997, Elite Squad follows the lives of a BOPE captain, Nascimento, and two potential BOPE officers and childhood friends, Neto Gouveia and André Matias, and their experiences revolving around everyday life Rio de Janeiro’s favelas. Due to high levels of corruption, drug trafficking militias have virtual control within the favelas while the police run their criminal enterprises outside. At the same time, Captain Nascimento must balance his attempts to find a replacement and the fact that his wife is about to give birth. And while Gouveia is quick on the trigger to maintain order, Matias refuses to compromise his ideals, leading him to make some tough choices.

    dubbed in english. i dont know how most people feel about subs but I cant stand dubbed movies. this is also quite an old release (02/08). j

    There is a non-scene release (Tropa.de.Elite.2007.DVDRip.XViD.nsiervi) of the original language if anyone is interested.

    Vomit also did the DVDScreener if people would prefer that : Elite.Squad.2007.DVDSCR.XviD-VoMiT

    Also what is with all the offtopic links to completely unrelated movies? It’s bad enough seeing the comments made a mess with rs links as it is without other movies being put in there. This isn’t rlslog – please don’t spam the place up.

    Hell I enjoy the eng dub movies, can’t stand that sub BS, your eyes are constantly moving up and down to read the sub and watch the movie, then sometimes you can’t finish reading and miss something important in the flick.
