ViTALiTY! Glad to see em. I got sum prezents for you lot! Ere’ iz da quarta’z big RTS releeze, boyz. I say this quarta’z because, if we are to believe Blizzard, then we all know what will be the year’s RTS. Provided they pick up the pace, as I want to spawn some lings already! Back on topic: RPS reviewed it. The NFO is quite large and they didn’t have to use a third party installer, even though it’s Steam. Just don’t forget to follow the last point in the install guide; “Die like the rest”. Enjoyz mah boyz!!

Start winrar. If you don’t have it, download it.
select your warhammer 2 folder with the winrar programm.
select the file *.001 (* means “whetever i donT care what the name is).
click on “unpack”. select a folder. press “ok”. you made it! and have become a little less nooby in zhe process.

You have to run (as administrator) the install.exe from the mounted image or burned DVD.

A lot of us are running the install as admin and still not getting past the “choose directory” dialog box. We get two black CMD looking boxes flash up and nothing happens.

Change the “I” to your drive with the game CD and change “C” drive to your root drive with your operating system. If your installed Windows on your C drive then just change the I to whatever the letter of your drive with the mounted game and it should work

I needed to run from the Vitality folder on the disc image, not from elsewhere on my HDD. Run it as admin, everything going well so far.

I get a command prompt that says

and then it doesn’t do anything, my extract directory only has 2 folders “drivers” and “archives”

just start your task manager, and take a look at your cpu usage, takes a little but you can see the program keep running, you only need a little of patience

salem90 , u don\’t need steam to play the game, if u followed the steps in the nfo from vitality u should be able to the game just by running the file xlive_start!

other thing, can anyone tell me how much hard disk this release occupies when installed?

Hi there, I’m just downloaded Dawn of war 2. But i have a small problem i mounted it with deamon and alcohol as well. But in my computer i can see CD not DVD in virtual DVD drive and if i’m trying open it i getting error “windows cannot read from this disk”

i followed the instuctions the best i could, from the cd with the copy on it i ran the install and sent it to my programds for directory, then ran the two programs in the folder then copyed the crack and clicked live start and all i see is a womans hand comes up and sayes steam must be running inoreder to play??? any one help me plz ? ty =]

the game take 10,3 gb on my hard disc
and i coppied the xlive_start with the others in the instal map.
when i start the game i have the trouble i get into the game, only i cant start campain it tells me that i have to log in windows live. and when i want to create a account i need a serialkey.

to fix the bugsplat error (if you are using a 64 bit OS)

Download this -

Mount the iso
Read the readme and edit the bat file
run the bat file so it extracts the game files to where you want them
use the vitality crack (copy the vitality files to the game directory)
And all should work!

I’m still not getting this to work, i’m usually good at fixing this sorta stuff myself by just doing research and checking forums. But this game i just cant get to work.
I get a bugsplat error with the vitality crack.
I tried the GTI loader with the vitality version (apparently u can do that) but then i get the same error but in a different window. Please help, i want this game to work.

Hey,
I made the same mistake as Darcy, you have to run the install.exe in administration mode, in the vitality folder, ON THE DISC IMAGE, and yes it takes ages to install……… but it gets there in the end. I had a similiar qualm (is that a word) with Empire Total War, took ages to install, ended up getting out of it like 3 times then i just left it there and it installed.

BTW Steam Sucks i had so many problems with that shitty software not just with this game.

This is what i did to install. I have the game on hardcopy on 2 dvd\’s.

I copy and pasted the contects of both dvd\’s onto my harddrive.
Install.exe doesnt work from my hard drive so i run it through the cd.

*First disc installs fine, second disc needs a file from the first disc to install so i just locate it on my hard drive (that\’s why copying disc contents to the hdd was necessary)

Once installed, i go into the folder where the game was installed (not the setup files from the cd) and install directx and gfwlive.

Then i copy all the contents in the vitality crack folder into the game dir.

That\’s when the problem occurs. When i open xlive a banner will pop up for a few seconds then the bugsplat error msg.

Can someone tell me exactly what files are in the Vitality folder? coz i have a feeling i\’m missing a few.

I finished the instalation and the last thing i did i copied the files from the vitality folder. But when i run xlive start it display me error message about dow2.exe – application error. and that the application failed ti initialize properly. click ok to terminate the application. any sugestion and please help. thanks

For the game to run install it into a folder on the DESKTOP!… and there will be no errors.. if you remove it in other location won’t work anymore… that’s all!

hello READ THIS FOR HELP ok this is what u do run the install tool thing FROM THE DISK and for vista people RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR then it will take a wile to do that after run the gfwindows and dx thing after copy all the files from the crack but install to the dawn of war file that u made and run x live i hope it works

I am trying your method at the moment from a retail disk fingers crossed it works, I have a retail disk but no key. sucks for me. I am curious as my only option is to install on diff drive other then c: due to partion space etc. also using 32bit os.

This is how I got it to work.

- unpack
-mount or burn the ISO file
-right click on the drive and select open
-run the install.exe file(administrator rights) from the “install” folder from the ISO file, nothing else(someone has decided to make this a little more complicated by having another “vitality” folder with the ISO file)
-make a folder to put the files to be extracted in(anywhere is fine)
-run Run dxsetup & gfwlivesetupe from “install” folder
-copy everything, except the install.exe, over to the folder you’ve just created
-and finally run “xlive_start” to start the game

I hope this helps because this game is so awesome! Thanks to whoever uploaded this and vitality, of course.

1. So YOU have to use the installer.exe out of th vitality folder
(for Vista and win 7 run as admin)(right klick on th install.exe and use it as admin)
2. So you got any direktory for unpacking
3. So now you go in the game dir where you unpacked it
then go into the install dir and run “DXSETUP.exe” and “gfwlivesetup.exe”
4. Now u get all files excludin the insall.exe out of the vitatlity dir and copy it into the main dir were u have unpacked
5 Now u can enjoy

I bought the original disk and I can’t get it to install from steam. Is there anyway I can use a cracked installer to install the game? Note for Windows 7 users. In order to run Install.exe go to properties and set the compatibility ti Windows XP and run it it as an Administrator

Hey, the game is installed and starts up just fine. as soon as i start the first mission, after the cut scene about the orcs invading blah blah blah, the application closes and I get a bugsplat error…. does anyone know how to fix this??

I was able to fix both the steam problem and bugsplat by reinstalling. first, I opened cd, went to vitality and do the install. Chose directory. then I ran dxsetup and gfwliesetup, copied the folders (platform.dll, vitality.dll,xlive_start, don’t know about locale copied that just in case) and then I started playing. if you get into trouble just reinstall. Do that, and you’ll get to play eventually.

OMG it works…just follow “whynendz” steps.Remember to make an offline account when asked, if you make a online account it asks for key .I dont bother playing online

if there a non-rapidshare link for the windows live crack, i got the game running, but i cant find the windows games live crack and i can’t get past the front screen

looking for the cracks only

megauploads, filefactory or iFolder ???

rapidshare says too many people downloading from them, cant access, or they’re already been taken down

so first run the install.exe from the folder copy everything to install folder except the install.exe
then run setup.exe or the other way around

ah never mind i got theeverything in the Vitality crack file must be in the rest of the game file mounted onto a virtual drive then right click and run as admin

when i say game file i mean put the install.exe file with the DOW 2 files to get the CMD working

hey, could anyone post a link to download the vitality crack, c I only need the crack cuz I installed the game from some other torrent. Their cracking method didnt seem to work (getting the bug splat error) so please someone save my weekend and give me the vitality crack ^^
