MOViERUSH is on fire tonight, another movie coming from this group. This time it is an internal release of the group. Synopsis: The film takes a look at the world of “Boiler Room” (seedy, dishonorable, and often fraudulent) brokerage firms. The film centers on college dropout Seth Davis (Ribisi), a budding underground casino owner from Queens, New York, who gets a job at J.T. Marlin, a less-than-reputable brokerage firm. However at the time, Seth is totally unaware of the firm’s criminal reputation. Davis’s opposition to his disapproving federal judge father drives the plot as Davis goes deeper into the operation at J.T. Marlin than he’d like, learning how the firm scams its clients. The company is a chop shop brokerage firm that runs a “pump and dump”, using its brokers to create artificial demand in the stock of defunct companies by cold calling investors and selling them shares at prices set by the brokerage firm, which include a large commission to the brokers (up to three dollars a share for a penny stock). When the firm is done pumping the stock, the investors then have no one to sell their shares to in the market, and the price of the stock plummets. As Seth learns more about the firm, he realizes he needs to get out. When the FBI confronts him, he agrees to help them bring down the firm. Feeling the guilt about the many affluent investors – “whales” – that he unknowingly lied to and scammed, he tries to help one client who could not afford to be scammed in the first place.

I didn’t realise the Halo movie was due out so soon, and it’s not, this is some animated STV; but thanks to ESPiSE its here in a fine DVDRip. Split over 2 releases, and having a super high video bitrate make this one a nice watch.

Pretty damn good looking film The Firm has been ripped for us by ALLiANCE. In similair vain to The Football Factory (and lesser Green Street Hooligans), The Firm is a remake of the classic 1989 movie by the same name, but with a twist. Quality of this baby is not very good, probably (definitely) should of been ripped in 2CD as its over 2 hours long! Anyway, besides that this is a pretty standard rip, just a lower then average bitrate .

Synopsis: Alan Clark’s 1989 movie about British soccer hooligans is transported to the early ’80s in this creative remake. Independent horror film The House of the Devil has been ripped by ESPiSE. Thos movie has 4 wins and 1 nomination at awards, the wins coming at ScreamFest for best actress and best score, and at Birmingham Sidewalk Moving Picture Festival for best feature film.
