2008 Beijing Olympics Closing Ceremony HDTV XviD-2HD
We haven’t really covered any of the releases for this year’s OS in Beijing, but for those of you that missed out on the closing ceremony can now have the pleasure to watch it.
Beijing Olympics Closing Ceremony
The 2008 Summer Olympics Closing Ceremony concluded the Beijing Games on August 24, 2008. It began at 8:00pm China Standard Time (UTC+8), and took place at the Beijing National Stadium. The Ceremony included the handover of the games from Beijing to London. Guo Jinlong, the Mayor of Beijing handed over the Olympic flag to the Mayor of London Boris Johnson, followed by a performance organized by the London Organising Committee for the Olympic Games (LOCOG).

It’s a shame you haven’t covered the Olympics with so many new world records being created.
Thankfully NZBMatrix have posted NZB’s for newsgroups for the majority of the heats/finals as well as the ceremonies.

I’m a swede, and we had our shittiest olympics since the 80s. I’m pretty happy that wasn’t covered! I know this might sound as if I’m a sore loser, but we really had some bad luck over there…

To be honest, the commericialization of the Olympics make it hard for ‘amateurs’ to compete in the games successfully which has opened up the doors for professional sponsorship for atheletes. With finacial backing it’s no wonder some countries/atheletes fare better at these types of events.
Personally I think if you even make it to the games as an athele that’s an accomplishment in itself. So your competing at the highest level already.
